Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about Salty Poker Network.
Account & KYC
How do I create an account?
Visit play.salty.poker, click Sign Up, and follow the prompts. You'll need an email address and a US phone number to get started.
What is KYC verification?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is an identity verification process required by law. You'll complete a quick photo ID upload and a liveness check. The whole process takes under 5 minutes.
What documents are accepted for KYC?
We accept US government-issued photo ID: a driver's license, state ID, or passport.
How long does KYC verification take?
Most accounts are approved instantly. In rare cases, manual review may take up to 24 hours.
Why was my KYC rejected?
Common reasons include a blurry or cropped photo, a name mismatch between your ID and account, or a failed liveness check. You can retry the verification from your account settings.
Deposits & Withdrawals
What payment methods are accepted?
We currently accept cryptocurrency deposits including BTC, ETH, LTC, and more. Fiat payment methods are coming soon.
Are there deposit limits?
Deposit limits vary by account tier and are shown during the deposit flow.
How long do deposits take?
Crypto deposits are credited after on-chain confirmation, which typically takes a few minutes depending on network conditions.
How do withdrawals work?
Withdrawals are processed to the same method used for your deposit. Crypto withdrawals are typically completed within hours. SPN does not charge a withdrawal fee.
Is there a minimum withdrawal?
Minimum withdrawal amounts are shown in the cashier and vary by coin to account for network fees.
Texas & Geofencing
Why is SPN Texas-only?
SPN operates under a private club model that is specific to Texas law. This structure allows us to offer real-money poker legally within the state.
How does geofencing work?
We perform a location check when you log in and again when you join a table. Your device must be physically located in Texas. VPN usage is prohibited and will result in a failed location check.
What if I travel outside Texas?
Your account stays active, but you won't be able to join tables until you're back in Texas.
My location check failed. What do I do?
Make sure location permissions are enabled for your browser, then refresh the page and try again. If the problem persists, contact support.
Games & Stakes
What game types are available?
We currently offer No-Limit Hold'em cash games and tournaments, with more game types planned.
What stakes can I play?
Available stakes are shown in the lobby. The range may expand as the player base grows.
How does the tick fee work?
Instead of raking the pot, SPN charges a flat fee per seat per unit of time. The pot goes 100% to the winner. The fee amount is shown before you sit down at a table.
What's the tournament structure?
We offer both scheduled and on-demand tournaments with published blind schedules. Late registration and re-entry options vary by event.
Platform & Account
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet, but our platform works great in your mobile browser at play.salty.poker. A native app is planned for the future.
Does the platform go offline for updates?
No. We use background deployments so the platform stays online during updates.
How do I close my account?
Contact our support team and we'll close your account. Any remaining balance will be returned to you.
Do you offer responsible gambling limits?
Built-in responsible gambling tools are coming soon. In the meantime, contact support if you'd like us to set manual limits on your account.
