Built in Texas. For Texans.
About Salty Poker Network
We're building a new kind of online poker platform — one that puts players first with transparent pricing, provably fair games, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
Who is Salty Poker?
Salty Poker — formally the Salty Poker Network (SPN) — is an online poker platform built in Austin, Texas for Texas players. It is developed and operated by SK Meridian, a Texas software company, and plays at play.salty.poker. This site, salty.poker, is the network's public home: game rules, city pages, the dev blog, and the changelog.
The platform runs on the same legal footing as brick-and-mortar Texas card rooms — the private-club model in Texas Penal Code §47.04(b) — and replaces rake with a per-minute tick fee, so the full pot always goes to the winner. Every deal is provably fair, every player is KYC-verified and geofenced to Texas, and there are no house players or bots. The multi-table experience is patent pending.

Our Story
Salty Poker Network was founded in 2026 by a team of experienced poker players and software engineers in Austin, Texas. We saw a market dominated by platforms that took too much from the pot, offered little transparency into how cards were dealt, and treated players as an afterthought.
We believed there was a better way. Instead of raking every pot — punishing players for winning big hands — we designed a flat tick-fee model that charges a small per-minute seat fee. The result: you keep every chip you win, and the cost of playing is predictable and fair.
Every hand dealt on SPN uses a commit-reveal random number generation scheme that players can independently verify. Combined with full KYC identity verification, Texas geofencing, and anti-fraud monitoring, we're building the most transparent and secure poker platform available.

Building the future of online poker
Why Choose SPN?
Fair Pricing Model
Our tick-fee model charges a small per-minute seat fee instead of raking pots. You keep every chip you win — no percentage taken from your winnings, ever.
Provably Fair
Every hand uses a commit-reveal RNG scheme. Shuffle seeds are cryptographically committed before cards are dealt, and players can verify any hand independently.
Secure Platform
Bank-grade encryption, rate-limited authentication, strict Content Security Policy headers, and a fully auditable double-entry ledger protect every transaction.
Real Players Only
Full KYC identity verification, anti-bot detection, VPN blocking, and anti-collusion monitoring ensure you're always playing against real, verified humans.
Texas Compliant
Built for Texas with geofencing enforcement, regulatory compliance, and full audit trails for every transaction.
Expert Support
Our support team includes experienced poker players who understand the game. Get help from people who actually know what a bad beat feels like.
The Tick-Fee Advantage
| Feature | Rake Model | SPN Tick-Fee |

| Game Flow | Rake calculation slows each hand | No pot deductions — faster play |
| Fair to Winners | Winners subsidize the house | Keep every chip you win |
| Predictable Costs | Varies wildly hand to hand | Know your cost before you sit |
