Privacy Policy — Salty Poker Player Accounts
Operated by SK Meridian LLC
Effective date: 2026-09-28
Last updated: 2026-09-28
This Privacy Policy explains how SK Meridian LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("SK Meridian," "we," "us"), collects, uses, shares and keeps personal information about players who create an account on Salty Poker (the "Service"). It also explains your choices and how to exercise your rights. The salty.poker website's newsletter and other website forms are covered by our website Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
SK Meridian LLC operates the Service.
- Email: [email protected]
- Mail: SK Meridian LLC, 5900 Balcones Dr #15907, Austin, TX 78731
- Security issues: [email protected]
2. Who may use the Service
The Service is only for people who are 18 or older and who are physically located in Texas while they play. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If our identity check shows a player is under 18, we suspend the account immediately and handle their data as described in Section 8.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
- Account details: email address, username, and optional phone number. Your password or passkey is held by our sign-in provider, Microsoft Entra External ID, never by us in readable form.
- Identity verification: legal name, date of birth, address, government ID images and a selfie or liveness check. Our verification provider, Sumsub, collects and holds these. We keep the result and limited reference data, not your ID images.
- Tax information: if the law requires us to issue tax forms, we collect the tax details the law requires.
- Support requests: messages, attachments and emails you send to support.
- Chat: messages you post at tables.
- Consents: which versions of our Terms and this Policy you accepted, your age confirmation, and your marketing choices, each recorded with the time, IP address and browser details.
3.2 Information from sign-in with Google, Apple or Facebook
If you sign up or sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, or link one of them to your account, we receive:
- the account identifier that provider assigns to you;
- your email address as the provider shares it (Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one);
- your name, if the provider shares it.
We use these only to:
- sign you in;
- link the provider to your account;
- prevent duplicate or fraudulent accounts;
- tell you when a sign-in method is linked or removed.
The provider's email is stored with that link and does not replace the email on your account. We do not receive your provider password, contacts, friends list or posts. When you link a provider, we add it to your sign-in record with our sign-in provider so that you can use it to sign in later.
3.3 Information collected automatically
- Location: we check your device's precise location (GPS or browser location) when you play, deposit or withdraw, and periodically during play. It confirms you are in Texas and enforces table-distance rules. We also use your IP address to estimate your location and to detect VPNs and proxies. You cannot play while location access is off. Account management, support and account closure do not require location.
- Device and security data: IP address, a device identifier, browser and operating system, sign-in history and session records. We use these to protect accounts and to detect fraud, collusion and duplicate accounts.
- Gameplay and transactions: hands you play (including cards and actions), table sessions, buy-ins, cash-outs, deposits, withdrawals, fees, balances and tournament results.
- Diagnostics: error reports and performance data.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and run your account, and provide the games, tables, tournaments, chat and support;
- verify your identity, age and location;
- process deposits, withdrawals and fees;
- keep games fair, and detect cheating, collusion, fraud, money laundering and abuse, including with automated and machine-learning tools;
- meet legal, tax and anti-money-laundering obligations and respond to lawful requests;
- contact you about your account, transactions, support tickets and security;
- send marketing, only if you opt in (you can opt out at any time);
- translate chat and support messages between languages;
- improve and secure the Service.

7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, and in particular under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your personal information (Section 8);

How to make a request:

You can also:

- remove a linked Google, Apple or Facebook sign-in in your account settings, where available (you must keep at least one way to sign in);
- remove Salty Poker from the connected apps in your Google, Apple or Facebook account settings. This stops future sharing but does not delete what we already hold.
8. Deleting your account and data
You can ask us to delete your account and personal information, including information we received from Google, Apple or Facebook sign-in. See our data deletion instructions.
When we act on a deletion request, we:
- delete your personal details and the sign-in identities linked to your account, or replace them with "[deleted]";
- replace your name and username on chat messages with "[deleted]";
- keep the records in Section 6 that we must keep (transactions, hand histories, identity-check, anti-money-laundering and tax records, and audit logs), with your personal details replaced by a random identifier.
We cannot delete information under a legal hold or tied to an open investigation until that is resolved. Any remaining balance must be withdrawn first.
9. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and monitoring. Hole cards are encrypted, and identity documents stay with our verification provider. No method is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
10. Where information is processed
We process information in the United States. Some service providers, such as translation and verification providers, may process limited data in other countries.
11. Changes to this Policy
We will post changes here and update the "Last Updated" date. For a material change, you must accept the new version before you can return to the lobby. We record which version you accepted.
