Pineapple & Crazy Pineapple
Both variants are Texas Hold'em with one twist: each player starts with three hole cards instead of two, then discards one. When you discard is what separates the two games.
The Two Variants
Pineapple
Deal three hole cards. Discard one card before the pre-flop betting round. Then play proceeds exactly like Texas Hold'em with your remaining two cards.
Simpler variant -- you already know your two-card hand before betting begins.
Crazy Pineapple
Deal three hole cards. Play pre-flop and the flop with all three cards. Discard one card after the flop betting round. Play turn and river with two cards.
More action -- you see three flop cards before deciding which hole card to discard.
Betting Rounds
Pineapple: Discard → Pre-Flop → Flop → Turn → River → Showdown
Crazy Pineapple: Pre-Flop (3 cards) → Flop (3 cards) → Discard → Turn → River → Showdown
Hand Rankings
Standard poker hand rankings. At showdown you use your two remaining hole cards and three community cards to make the best five-card hand -- same rules as Texas Hold'em.
On SPN
SPN handles the discard phase automatically. After the appropriate street, you will be prompted to select which hole card to discard before betting continues.
