How to Play Five Card Draw
Five Card Draw is the classic poker game. Each player receives five private cards and has one opportunity to exchange any number of them for new cards from the deck. No community cards, no exposed cards -- just your hand against theirs.
How a Hand Plays Out
Blinds and Deal
Small and big blind posted. Each player dealt five cards face down.
First Betting Round
Players bet, raise, or fold based on their starting five cards.
The Draw
Each remaining player discards 0-5 cards and receives the same number of replacements. You may stand pat (keep all five). Watch how many cards opponents draw -- it reveals hand strength.
Second Betting Round
Final betting round with improved hands. Showdown: best five-card hand wins.
On SPN
SPN automatically handles the draw phase. Select which cards to discard when prompted, or tap "Stand Pat" to keep your full hand. Standard poker hand rankings apply.
